His Fated Mate Book Reveiw: A Decent Rookie Debut

Image
A received a free copy of His Fated Mate for and honest review  I am giving His Fated Mate a 3.5 out of 5. There were a lot of positives found in this story. On the same token there were a few issues I found. While none of these issues took away from the overall story, they were obvious enough to be marked. I felt the story started on a good foot. Solid pacing and decent story development to start. It took some time getting accustomed to the quick chapter/ POV switch. However, these short chapters never took away from the story, therefore I was fine with them. My favorite part of the book was how the author put her own twist on the mates bond between werewolf and human. I’ve never read anything like that and it was original. In a popular genre it’s hard to come up with something new. I also enjoyed the diversity with the main characters. However, I felt like other author forgot to describe other side characters physical traits besides the hero and heroine. She w

Greetings, Over the last couple of months, I've been WRITING! Which is a good thing, but I've been a little addicted to the point I've even forgot about my other social media outlets. In the last couple of months, I've completed two stories and working on a third as we speak. These stories all have something in common, dealing with contemporary romance. Because I'm writing contemporary romances, I figured my logo is on longer appropriate for the genre I'm writing in. With that said, I give you the new Official logo for Remy Marie novels!

Blue Vision Book Review: Come for the Romance Not the Sci-Fi

Image
Book Review: I’m giving Blue Visions three out of five stars. This was my first time reading a science fiction romance. When I first opened the book, I imagined stunning worlds far off from our own, new creative aliens and an adventure that would take me out of my kindle and into the captain’s chair. While Marie Lavender managed to check some of the boxes, I found she was lacking in other areas. I found myself reading the novel and questioning when was the science fiction going to be introduced? Yes, the main character was a blue alien, called an Endhivarian with physic powers, and he came from a different world, Endhivar, but the story was heavily focused on the relationship of Colin and Brooke. I had way too many questions about Colin’s race and was disappointed, they were never answered. My disappointment grew more in the third act when many of the subplots to Colin’s home world were destroyed. I was hoping at some point story would shift and focus more on Colin’s mission, but

Book Review: Breakaway: A friend to lovers romance

Image
(From Amazon Site) Book Blurb: I fell in love with my best friend but he didn't love me back. Sounds like a cheesy line from a country song, right? Too bad it's the story of my life. I thought that I’d moved on, swore he was the one. But that facade began to fade in the flash of a half-carat diamond ring. Now years later, here I am, running back to the boy who broke my adolescent heart, hoping that just maybe, he’ll be the one to piece it back together. .... I fell in love with my best friend while she fell in love with him. Ironically, it was my own damn fault. I practically served her up on a silver platter. So I turned to my second love, basketball, moving across the country to escape. For years, I’ve been sitting on the sidelines watching, waiting. Now it's time to make my move. No more fouling out. This time, I'm going to score Review Breakaway is the third title from author Heather M. Orgeron, and let me tell you I just became a fa

Heartbreaker Review

Image
Reveiw I loved this book, and I am giving five out of five stars. It's another quick read, (even though it took me a month to read it. No joke, I was super busy this month!) which is a big plus for fans of the weekend read. I enjoyed both the hero and heroine. From the beginning, I  liked Cat. Her personality was relatable. She's a hard working single mom who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Booker took some time to understand. My notes even say he's beginning huge tool! However, after a big twist towards the end, I was shocked. I learned why his character was the way he was, which made me fall for his character even more. This romance trope isn't new, guy is jerk to girl, then the couple falls for each other. However, the interesting twist is that the hero is actually intentionally being a jerk. He runs a website call the Heartbreaker, where he is paid to be a pig to the woman, then the guy who paid him can come in and be the hero. Hmmm, I think I've seen

#Nerd Book Review

***  Book Cover from Author Website Official #Nerd Blurb  Never judge a person by their status. Rimmel Hudson isn’t your ordinary girl. She doesn’t care about her hair, clothes, or the color of her lip-gloss. She volunteers at the local animal shelter and spends more time with her furry friends than anyone on two legs. People are too judgmental, but animals love unconditionally. Her time at the shelter gets interrupted when she’s told she has to start tutoring on campus to keep her scholarship for veterinary medicine. She tells herself its all part of the path to get her where she wants to be in life. And then she meets the person she has to tutor. Roman “Romeo” Anderson is probably the most well known student at her entire college. He is practically a football god, from a prestigious family, rushing the most popular frat on campus… and he has no clue she’s alive. Rimmel and Romeo are from completely different worlds—worlds that usually run parallel and never intersec
